Lesson #1: In recent years, leadership success has undergone a paradigm shift due to next-gen servant leadership concepts. Service first leadership allows an organization to embrace it’s "why" or "purpose." Once the purpose is adopted, strong long-term performance follows.
Lesson #2: A “profit before people” philosophy does not sustain organizational excellence in today's marketplace. A “people before profit” philosophy improves organizational performance and associate engagement. This leadership model fosters healthy long-term performance and a culture of innovation.
Lesson #3: Empathy and trust are the keys to leadership. When leadership shows empathy and trust in those they lead, it is reciprocated. A climate of trust is built by leadership encouraging empathy, acknowledgment of errors, and celebrating lessons learned.
